Yes, I agree to comply and enforce the rules when necessary.
(5a) Please explain each of the main server rules and what they each mean, to convey to us that you understand and comprehend them wholly.
1: No Fail Roleplay (FailRP)
Don't do anything that you wouldn't do as a real student[scholar](or teacher/etc.) at Starbright. [ie. suicide or failing to teach]
2: Be Respectful. No Hate speech or Racism
Don't follow people around and call them names or harass them. Don't use slangs, offensive, or derogatory terms towards others. Players are meant to feel welcomed on the server, and not threatened. Disrespectful, hateful, and offensive behaviour/speech towards others is not allowed. Continued use of this could result in a ban.
3: No Random Death Match (RDM)
Don't kill others, or team mates, without a valid reason [ie Celestial/Sentinel and Void at the QP, may kill each other]. Scholar's/Instructors should NEVER kill another scholar/instructor.
4: Obey Staff and Roleplay Leaders
Players must always follow their RP leaders, unless its for rule breaking. Scholars must listen to enforcers, instructors, and the Dean. All players MUST listen to staff.
5: No Free-Spelling
Don't shoot spells without a valid reason. Shooting a damaging spell towards another scholar is considered free spelling and could end up breaking rule 3 as well. Other spells such as continuous use of Zalisifa and Anatrope (etc.) are also considered free spelling.
6: No Metagaming
Using out of game knowledge for ones benefit. An example of this is saying a Void Captor is a Void Captor, before they are revealed(bringing out cuffs). As an attendee of Starbright University, you cannot read the roles above their heads, as most players are to be considered Scholars or Faculty.
7: No Mic or Chat Spam
Do not scream into your mic, play music over your mic (some exception being The Guitarist), etc.
Do not repeatedly write the same thing 3+ more times, wait a few minutes and write it again if need be. If you need staff use @ chat.
8: Telemail is only for RP Purposes
Telemail should be used for roleplay reasons only, nothing else. You may use it for buying/selling kidnapped scholars, requesting enforcers, calling DOS, hiring instructors, and an instructor using Permission to Speak(PTS). Misuses of advert may include binds, use of as a chat, calling staff, requesting help, trolling, etc.
9: No ERP (Erotic Roleplay)
Do not do things that can be considered sexual/explicit [ie. Moaning in your microphone]
Don't partake in sexual acts on the server.
10: Do not avoid AFK system or exploit the map
Do not use console commands to stay active in the server to surpass the AFK timer (using macros).
Use of Macros or Scripts are prohibited.
Do not look for ways to glitch into the map or areas you are not supposed to be in.
(6.) If you find yourself in a 'staff-sit' where you're unsure of how to fairly distribute punishment and or handle the situation or discrepancy at hand, what do you do?
- Ask another staff member
- Try and get a hold of a staff member if none are online
- Read over MOTD to figure out best way to deal with the situation at hand
(7.) Do you have prior experience staffing on any Garry's Mod servers including SBS? If so could you please briefly describe it? If not, you may put "N/A".
- I previously staffed for an SBS server. I was accepted onto the team February 17, 2019 and left the team on good terms on April 22, 2020. I was a moderator for this time being staff.
- I was also an admin and developer for 3 other servers, all of which have closed down over the years. These servers either closed due to ownership transfer or after I resigned from my position on the team. These servers were based around Prop Hunt and Trouble in Terrorist Town.
