eccentric catboy connoisseur... consumer? customer? anyways, short of Guy specifically wanting you for the role, I don't know if it's worth your time and energy pursuing a management role. Gene can be a strong advocate, or a strong critic. An inspiration, or someone who can crush you.
Would probably trust Gene to put the whip to Lexa who it turns out is aloof and lazy, but does the current team want Gene to be the one to cry to for their interpersonal issues, to be their emotional punching bag (he has spikes, y'know), and to be there every weekend taking notes? Does Gene himself want to subject himself to this? idk. if you really want this i can probably provide some scenario to help your application along.
